3D LiDar annotation
LiDAR (light detection and ranging) is an integrated optical sensing system that provides exceptionally precise x, y, and z coordinates of the source from which it is reflected. It sends laser beams to a particular target, and then mirrors the object’s motions back to the receiver, which analyzes the time interval and calculates the distance. With 3D boxes and definite class annotation, 3D point cloud annotation will detect points up to 1 cm apart. Used by automated vehicles to recognize objects in both indoor and outdoor environments. The motion of an object in a video can also be detected using this 3D segmentation.
